Hello Everyone!
Once again we have had another eventful month so I will get started.
On October 9, Clint, Rachael and Andrew left for the states. We had a very tear-filled goodbye at the airport. We were very happy to hear they arrived safely in Channelview and are now with Clint's parents.
We started out a new session of classes at the end of September and so far we have had a really good number of students.
As I mentioned in my last report I am enrolled in a teacher training course here at the Bible Study Center. Well, with the new session we started our second session of classes. The first three weeks were just sitting and listening to Dad teach, but by the fourth week he had us all come up with an introduction to the BSC (Bible Study Center) and a short introduction of ourselves. Each of us in the class had to perform that introduction in front of the class. I must say, this is a lot different than teaching children's Bible class. (grin) We will be using one of our major courses, Jesus: Man of the Bible, as our "practice" material. From now on we will be using this course as the course we teach during class time. It is going to be a lot of fun. One other part of our "homework" is Dad has us sit in on other classes to observe the teachers and how they teach. So far that has been my favorite part. (grin) There is just something about critiquing that is oddly enjoyable (grin).
Here in Cebu we have been having some very strange weather. Up north they have been dealing with flooding and typhoons. We are very blessed that all we have had is rain and strong winds. Please keep us in your prayers.
Something that has been taking up a lot of my time has been working on a new course here at the BSC. It is originally in slideshow format so we are working on changing it so we can use it in DVD format. Clint and I have both been working on getting the course up and running. He scanned all the slides (500+) and I have been working on the slide script portion. Before the Robinsteins left for the states Clint finished the scanning of slides so all that is left is the slide script and recording so be praying for that.
Prayer Requests:
Clint, Rachael, and Andrew- They are in the states right now on Furlough. Pray for their safe travels.
Jon, Gina, and Sean-Jon is still working on paper work for them. Pray that it all goes smooth and that there are no problems.
The Emperado's- They are also back in the states on Furlough. Pray that they also have safe travels.
Doug and Jane Cox- They are both having health problems still. Pray for both of their fast recovery.
Students and Staff at the BSC- We are in the middle of a session of classes right now.
Ken Wilkey-He is traveling here to the Philippines on the 14th of this month.
Everyone's safety and good health.
In Him,
Amy Murrell
