Hello,

This is my first official report as an apprentice! A bunch of stuff has happened since we have been back so I better get started.

A couple days before we arrived here in Cebu, Gina, my sister-in-law, gave birth to my second nephew Sean on the 14th of June. He was 6 pounds and 12 ounces and 50cm long. He is truly a beautiful baby. The very proud parents are really feeling the effect of new parenthood. We are all so happy to have our new addition to the family!

Andrew, my other nephew, is also doing very well. He now weighs 23 pounds! Also he has 4 new teeth and at least one more coming in! He is growing so fast! He is already crawling around. He is such a joy to have around.

At the beginning of this month Sara and I moved out of Dad and Mom's house into our very own apartment. We moved all the way across town. We got very lucky because when we were in the states our brother Jon told us that the apartment next to him had just come available. So Sara and I jumped at the chance to live near our siblings (and Nephews:D). The amazing thing about our new place is that not only is it right next to Jon & Gina it is also right across the street from Rachael and Clint as well as right around the corner from the office.

We have been spending a lot of time working on distributing flyers for our Bible Correspondence Course and new session these past few weeks. We also distributed flyers for our seminar that just passed. It is really nice to get out again and to walk the streets I am used to. It is definitely good to be back.

We also have just started our new session here at the Bible Study Center. So far we have had a pretty good turnout. But it is still very early in the session so we are always hoping for more people.

Some exciting news is that a student of ours, Felipe Ypilan, was baptized on Sunday. It is so encouraging to see the Lord's church growing.

A few weeks ago my grandpa Wilkey also arrived here in Cebu for a visit. We enjoyed his company like we always do. He is back over here for another 2 months so be praying for his safe travels. A couple weeks back he was here in Cebu doing a 3 day seminar on "The Agony and Glory of Christ" based on the book written by Charles B. Hodge, Jr., "The Agony and Glory of the Cross." We had a very good turnout.

As most of you know, A few days before we left the states I was scheduled to take the GED (General Educational Development) examination to get my "official" High school diploma. I took the exam and then the waiting began. I was told I had to wait 2 weeks to receive my results of the exam and had to wait for word from my grandparents about the results because we had already left the states and weren't there when they arrived. I am happy to announce I passed it with flying colors. It is such a relief to be done with High School. I am very excited to see what the future holds for me! Thank you all for your prayers.

Prayer Requests:

The Emperado Family-They are off to the states for Furlough. Pray for their safe travels and good health.

The Babies (Andrew and Sean)-Pray for their continual good health.

Jon and Gina-Their new addition to the family is really taking his toll on their sleep schedule. Pray that baby Sean will get on somewhat of a schedule so they can get some much needed sleep.

Becky's Parents- Both of them are having health problems right now and really need prayers.

Mychel Laohoo's (One of the sisters from the Uptown congregation) Mother-She is in the hospital right now and they are not sure what is wrong with her yet. Be praying for her fast recovery from whatever it is.

Felipe Ypilan-Pray for him as he starts his new life in Christ.

Classes-Pray for the students and teachers as they are starting the new session.

In Him,

Amy Murrell
